The Event

The Race

Trans New England combines the best things New England mountain biking has to offer with five days of racing in some of the most technical terrain in North America. The mapped-out route covers multiple locations highlighting the best trails of each region in a “blind” enduro race. The format is kept open with planned race stages for each day, but still plenty of time to session sections and mix up party trains throughout the week. Trans New England is set to happen from September 22nd - September 27th 2024. Get ready for technical descending, delicious locally made meals, and some wild campfire stories all in one mega week. Expect to ride different kinds of terrain from stage to stage, explore some of the most iconic singletracks in New England, and consume more maple syrup than you thought possible in an epic bike-to-camp-style adventure race!

The Details

The Format

Trans New England will be a 5-day enduro event where climbs are untimed and race stage descents are timed. We will try to mix in some non-timed “stages” allowing riders to party shred with friends new and old. Plan to be on your bike for 4-6 hours a day for 4-6 stages a day.

The Course

You’ll be riding blind! In true blind racing fashion, the course will not be announced until the night before each race day. At the nightly briefing, you will be provided with more specifics: overall distances, elevation profile, and more.

The Food

To ensure you’re fueled and ready to shred, each day we will be providing breakfast, lunch and full dinners prepared by local restaurants. On-course snacks and sandwiches for lunch will be provided to keep the hanger away and the stoke high. We will do our best to provide options for allergies and dietary concerns.

The Transport

Get ready to cruise in style. Transportation will be provided for the duration of the event. Shuttles will be there to pick you up and drop you off between campgrounds and start lines. For the most part, you will be peddling between the start and finish lines, but some days there will be shuttles between courses.

The Accommodation

Tents! Bring a tent, bag, a pad, and join us for a good ol’ fashioned campout. Bonfires will be raging, campfire stories will be embellished, and warm beer will be flowing.

Skill Level/Experience

Riders are required to have a strong mountain biking background with enough fitness and grit to spend 5 back to back days in the saddle. The courses and trails will be technical and cover a variety of terrain. The weather in New England is finicky at best, please be prepared to experience literally every weather condition you’ve ever heard of within the space of an hour.
